The trampoline netting also known as trampoline safety net or enclosure net is one of the accessories to the trampoline. The netting helps to ensure that injuries due to a person falling from the trampoline are minimized.

On some trampolines the safety net comes as a standard or part of the trampoline. If you haven’t yet bought your trampoline and if the people who will be using the trampoline are inexperienced it is a good idea to buy this type of trampoline rather than to have to add the trampoline netting later on as an accessory. 

It should also be noted that the netting as an accessory is found mostly in the size of the 14 foot trampoline as it the most popular and is the regular size so if you are buying any trampoline other than this size it is good to check if the size of the netting for your trampoline is available otherwise you might run into trouble later on when you would want to upgrade your trampoline with the netting.

If you search around you might find some suppliers who offer the netting in a universal size whereby the netting would fit any size of backyard trampoline, however this might not be a good solution as you would be looking for a net that would fit your trampoline perfectly.

One thing to consider is the type of material that will be used in holding up the trampoline netting around the trampoline as this can be a safety concern where injuries can arise when a person bumps against this. The material making up the pole holding the net should be strong and yet soft to bump against, so steel or iron bars should be avoided. It also goes without saying that the material making up the trampoline netting should also be strong as you do not expect your kids to tear through the net and fall off the trampoline.

The trampoline netting has increasingly become an important part of the backyard trampoline with more and more trampolines being manufactured with the net already attached to the trampoline so that it in future it might be an exception to find a trampoline without a net.
